September to Remember

After 12 game weeks and several extended weekends, we have reached the postseason. The 12 teams within the DASL have been divided into three divisions—A, B, and C—based on their performance during the regular season.

Below is a brief overview of the postseason format and relevant rules:

Round Robin Stage (September 5, 12, and 19)

  • Each match lasts 90 minutes and can end in a draw.
  • Regarding player verification, please ask your teammates to bring a valid piece of photo ID issued by Ontario (Driver License, Photo Card, Health Card, etc.). If the name matches what's on the latest gamesheets sent to Captains, (NOT Hand Written), they are eligible to play
  • It's the Captain or team admin reponsibility to check prior to the match ID to the name if they suspect the team is fielding illegal players.
  • Game will not be rescheduled unless fields are closed due to weather or technical issues
  • If teams are to forfeit due to being unable to field players, please notify on the Thursday before the gameweek

Division Finals (September 26)

  • The top two teams (1st & 2nd in the division) will face off to determine the division champion.
  • The bottom two teams (3rd & 4th in the division) will compete for third place within the division.
  • Matches are scheduled for 90 minutes. If no winner is determined during regular time, the game will proceed directly to a penalty shootout—with five shooters per side—to determine the winner.
