Gearing Up This April? Here’s Your Soccer Season Cheat Sheet!

Good day, DASL Community. I hope everyone had an enjoyable Easter weekend. I am posting this brief update to address some frequently asked questions regarding the upcoming 2025 outdoor season, which is scheduled to commence next month, and to provide an overview of our current progress to that moment.
 

How can I register or sign up to participate?

Firstly, we have received several inquires about if their still room for a team. Due to the restriction of how many fields we can get access to this year, the league has a cap of 12 teams. Thus, currently we are at capacity of that. If you would like to add your team to the Waiting List, please e-mail dasleagueprez@gmail.com.

When does the league officially start?

The plan is to have everything ready on the Friday after Victoria Weekend, which is May 23rd. As mentioned in the AGM, we won’t be scheduling any games during the long weekends in July, August, and September. The intention is to finalize the list of teams & players, and then we’ll share the full schedule around mid-May once everyone has paid for their team spots.

What is the league format and schedule?

The 12-game regular season has each team playing every other team once. Post-season, teams are divided into three groups of four based on the regular season. Each team will play the others once within their groups. The top two teams from each group will compete in the finals. So, each team will be looking to play at least 15-16 games this season.

Where will the matches be held?

Games will be held in either Whitby or Ajax. All fields beside the Ajax Turf will be grass fields. You can find out more information by clicking the Location tab.

Are there any league rules or a code of conduct?

Yes. That can be found underneath the Rules tab of the website.

Is there a registration fee or cost to participate?

Yes, it is $200 this year. If you are an individual player seeking a team, please note that the deadline to register is Thursday, May 1st, at 11:59 p.m. EST. This will give us sufficient time as a board to sort out the rosters.

If you are part of the 12 teams that have confirmed their commitment this season, they will have already sent out the link and information to you privately.
